This document outlines the terms of coverage, return procedures, and technical support conditions for all RugerHMI terminals and panel controllers purchased directly or through authorized B2B channels. The policy applies exclusively to industrial equipment used in manufacturing, process control, and field telemetry environments.
Every RugerHMI unit is covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 24 months from the date of shipment. Coverage includes the display assembly, touch interface, mainboard, power supply module, and all sealed connectors. Consumable parts such as battery packs, stylus tips, and mounting brackets carry a separate 12-month warranty.
To initiate a return, the customer must submit a technical description of the failure along with photographs or a short video showing the symptom. Our engineering team reviews each case within two business days and issues an RMA number if the issue falls under warranty. Units returned without an RMA number will be refused at the dock.
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from unauthorized modification, improper installation, electrical surges outside the rated specifications, physical abuse, or exposure to chemicals not listed in the equipment's environmental compatibility table. Software-related issues, including configuration errors or third-party application conflicts, are addressed under a separate support agreement.
Registered customers receive priority access to our industrial support desk, staffed by engineers with direct experience in SCADA integration and plant-floor networking. Support hours are Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 18:00 CST, with an optional 24/7 escalation for critical production outages. Firmware updates are released quarterly and include security patches, driver enhancements, and new protocol support.

Contact EngineeringAnswers about our rugged HMI terminals and plant control panels, from environmental certifications to integration with existing SCADA systems.
All portable models, including the TR-740 and TH-55, are certified IP65. This means they are fully protected against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. The TR-740 also withstands drops from 1.5 meters onto concrete, making it suitable for foundries and heavy assembly lines.
Yes. The PCP-1500 panel includes two RS-485 ports and supports Modbus RTU and TCP/IP protocols. It also has 8 analog inputs and 4 digital outputs, allowing direct wiring to most industrial controllers. Our configuration software lets you create real-time dashboards without writing code.
Yes. The TH-55 handheld terminal is classified ATEX Zone 2/22, suitable for use in potentially explosive gas and dust environments. It combines a 5.5-inch display with an integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner, ideal for inventory tracking in chemical plants and oil refineries.
The TR-740 provides up to 8 hours of continuous operation with its hot-swappable battery. The TH-55 offers up to 12 hours thanks to its 5000 mAh lithium-ion pack. Both batteries are field-replaceable, so you can keep working without downtime.
Our terminals feature EMI Class A shielding, which meets industrial standards for radiated and conducted emissions. The TR-740 uses a magnesium alloy chassis with conductive gaskets to block interference from motors, welders, and high-frequency equipment commonly found in manufacturing plants.
